Jamestown Community Baseball, LLC, announced Friday the signing of Christian Dolce as Director of Business and Sales Operations for the Jamestown Tarp Skunks.
Dolce will join experienced manager and Director of Baseball Operations Jordan Basile in leading the Tarp Skunks this season. After two seasons of interning with the Tarp Skunks, and as the Assistant of Business Operations last year, Dolce brings valuable sports industry knowledge and experience to the Tarp Skunks front office.
In his December 17th press conference at the Robert H. Jackson Center in Jamestown, Dolce stated “I want to make a trip to Diethrick Park a premier experience for not only the Jamestown area, but for all families in Chautauqua County. Making a positive impact and enjoyable experience for fans is my number one goal”.
A Jamestown native, Christian comes to the Tarp Skunks as a recent graduate of John Carroll University where he earned his Bachelors of Arts and Science in Sports Studies and Athletic Administration, while minoring in Business. In addition to his two years of working with the Tarp Skunks, Dolce has held positions working with the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Babe Ruth World Series Baseball, John Carroll Wrestling, and the 2021 NFL Draft.
“After 2 very successful seasons, I believe we are just starting to hit our stride and are on the cusp of taking our organization to the next level, establishing ourselves as a fixture in the SouthernTier Region” said Dolce, son of Tony and Anne Dolce. “Baseball and Jamestown are two things that always stick together and I am motivated to continue to build on our rich history here.”
Former Director of Business and Sales Jacob Kindberg will continue to work with the Tarp Skunks as an advisor while Mike Ferguson will be brought in as a Marketing Executive focusing on sponsorship and activation.
The Jamestown Tarp Skunks are a member of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, a collegiate summer baseball league with teams across New York state. The Tarp Skunks will be back playing baseball this summer at Diethrick Park in June 2023.
