Jamestown, NY – The Jamestown Tarp Skunks released their schedule for the 2021 season today. The Tarp Skunks, members of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, will begin the home portion of their schedule with back-to-back games against the Batavia Muckdogs on Thursday, June 10th, and Elmira Pioneers on Friday, June 11th. Both games are set for a 7:00 PM first pitch.

2021 marks the 80th Anniversary of the stadium now named Russell E. Diethrick Jr. Park. The Tarp Skunks are hosting the Batavia Muckdogs, also the visiting team for the very first game played at the stadium eighty years ago, on opening night to commemorate this important milestone of baseball in Jamestown.

Notable home dates include:

  • Thursday, June 10th: Home Opener & 80th Anniversary Celebration Festival vs Batavia

  • Friday, June 11th: Community Discount Card Night vs Elmira

  • Monday, June 28th: $2 Night vs Niagara

  • Friday, July 2nd: 4th of July Kickoff Fireworks Show vs Niagara

  • Monday, July 12th: $2 Night vs Geneva

  • Saturday, July 24th: Christmas in July & Fan Appreciation Night vs Batavia

All home games during the 24-game home schedule start at 7:00 p.m. A full schedule of promotions will be announced at a later date.

New for this season, the team is selling all bleacher seats, as well as hotdogs, popcorn, and pop, for $2 on Monday, June 28th, and Monday, July 12th. Regular ticket prices for all other games are $12 for reserved seating, $8 for grandstand seating, and $5 for bleacher seating. Group and season tickets are on sale now and single-game tickets will go on sale at a later date. Season tickets start at just $95.

With the addition of former New York-Penn League teams Niagara Falls, Batavia, and Auburn, the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League will feature a league-record 17 teams. Niagara Falls and Batavia will join the West Division, joining the Tarp Skunks, Elmira Pioneers, Newark Pilots, and Geneva Red Wings. Jamestown will only play teams in the West Division during the regular season but will face teams from the entire league come playoff time.

Jamestown will start the season on the road, playing six games in 7 days from June 3rd to June 9th. After that initial stretch, the schedule lightens up significantly and features six Friday, one Saturday, and two Sunday home games.
