The Jamestown Tarp Skunks announced today the signing of Bryce Jackon, a
Jamestown native and Jamestown High School graduate currently attending Jamestown
Community College.

Pitching for the Jamestown Community College Jayhawks in 2021, Jackson (6-3, 205) appeared in
11 games (8 starts) while accumulating a 2.70 ERA and 87 strikeouts. That performance earned him
a spot on both the Region 3 All-Region and First Team All-WNYAC teams.

After graduating from Jamestown High School in 2019, he originally attended Canisius College, playing in the NCAA Division 1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. After a serious elbow injury that led to surgery, he returned to Jamestown to continue his playing career for Jamestown Community College.

“After an excellent year on the mound for the Jayhawks, we are excited to have Bryce as part of the Tarp Skunks for the 2022 season,” said Jordan Basile, Head Coach and Director of Baseball Operations for the Tarp Skunks. “Bryce has shown the ability to pitch at a high level and we are
confident he will do just that for us this summer. We look forward to Bryce continuing to make the community proud, just as he has during his time at JHS and JCC.”

The Jamestown Tarp Skunks are a member of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, a
collegiate summer baseball league with teams across New York State. The Tarp Skunks were the
2021 PGCBL Western Division Champions, finishing with a record of 28-15.
